Q: Can I get your program on CDs?

A: No. Our software is internet software. It works over the internet, and you use your web browser to access it.

Q: What exactly do I have to wait for in the mail?

A: Nothing. You get instant access to our software so you don't have to wait for a box to show up.

This is the greenest way to learn a language because no carbon dioxide is created during the delivery process and we don't ship you a box that will end up in your local land fill.

Q: Do I have to have a high speed internet connection for this to work?

A: No, but you do have to have a good, reliable internet connection. A fast dialup connection will work.

Audio files are downloaded just once to your browser. If your connection gets slow you will notice a slight delay the first time you study a new phrase. The next time you study that phrase it will work quickly even on very slow connections.

Q: Can I install your software on my home computer, my work computer and a new computer I'm buying soon?

A: Yes. You can easily use our software from several different computers as long as they all have a good internet connection. It is very easy to change computers. However for technical reasons only one person can study with one user name and password. Read the question below.

Q: My wife, children, and I all want to learn the same language, how many copies of your software should we buy?

A: Just one. Our prices are per household, so you only need to buy one copy of the language per household. Businesses get up to four users per copy that they purchase.

For technical reasons everyone needs to have their own user name because everyone will learn at a slightly different speed.

If several people in your household need to learn the same language purchase one copy online. Our computer will automatically assign one user name and password. Then e-mail us the names, preferred user names and e-mail addresses (e-mail addresses are recommended but are optional) of the other people in your household and we will set those up manually for you.

Q:Can Language101.com be used by children?

Q: I want to learn French, Spanish and German. Do I have to buy a separate program for each language?A: You should buy the All Languages Super Package. This saves you a lot of money and lets you study as many of the languages that we offer as you want to study. You also get new languages free as they become available. Italian will be available by August 31, 2010.

Q: Can I study with someone else's user name and password?

A: No. This absolutely will not work. You have to have your own user name and password otherwise neither of you will learn much.

Q: When does this expire?

A: It never expires. You also get free software updates as they become available.

Q: How long have you been in business?

A: Our company founder has been in the educational business on the internet since people were asking, "What's the internet?"

We began development on Language101.com in 2007 and opened for business in March of 2009.

Q: Can you add other languages? I would like to learn the Navi language created by Paul Frommer for the movie Avatar or an indigenous language.

A: Our software was designed to easily add many languages. The only thing that sometimes takes time is finding the right person to make and record the lessons.

Q: Do you have a money back guarantee?

A: Yes, we have a three month money back guarantee.

Q: Can I buy Level 1 now and then upgrade to a Package price by paying the difference?

A: No. The way to get the discounted Package price is to buy a Package now. Of course you can always purchase level 2 or 3 later but you will pay the regular price.
